2021.10.26 10:07 BroadJoel1 Introducing the new “Cookie pop-up blocker” feature
| We’re always looking for innovative ways to enhance our users’ web experience. This time we set out to tackle the daily frustration of having to accept websites' cookie consent pop-ups - 'cause you’re just there for the content, right? Here's where our brand new browser extension feature - the Cookie pop-up blocker - comes in.|
What is the Cookie pop-up blocker?
A feature part of our Chrome and Firefox extensions that removes all cookie consent pop-ups (currently only available on Chrome as Firefox is still reviewing their side of things).
What is it not?
The Cookie pop-up blocker is not a privacy feature - it’s only meant to better your browsing experience. It won’t prevent cookie pop-ups from happening, but will ensure you’re not bothered by them.
How does it work?
The Cookie pop-up blocker employs CSS rules and network request blocking to hide pop-up elements as well as block specific network requests. If these two methods fail, the feature automatically chooses “accept”.
Read more about it on our blog, and head over to Chrome to try it out now!

2021.10.26 10:07 amiserabledegenerate Right Where It Belongs
I swear NIN has a song for everything. Right Where It Belongs is a song that always tears me up each time I listen to it. I have two neurological disorders, one which is Tourette’s and I have severe anxiety and depression and OCD, so I’ve always felt like an outsider, and “Right Where It Belongs” has always validated that feeling. Recently, I found out that a swelling in my brain puts me at risk for becoming blind in my right eye in the future and having an aneurysm or a stroke and dying. I’m almost eighteen but now I know that there’s no chance of me living a normal life as that nerve is swelling and I know I will probably die soon. “Right Where It Belongs” hits harder now and it’s just the song that describes what it feels like to know that you will die in the future and you won’t live a normal life and you’re constantly an outsider, at least to me. Listening to it made me cry today. It will always be a special song.

2021.10.26 10:07 the_duck_life Has anyone experienced any heart related side effects with bicalutamide?
Hi guys, I'm 36 and have been on 50mg of bica for about 10 weeks now. In the past week I've experienced an oddly strong heartbeat when trying to sleep. I wasn't sure if it was just due to some candy I had a little late a few nights ago since the worst of it was that night, but I also woke up with full body aches and a minor fever yesterday morning. It seemed flulike but I didn't have the usual sniffles accompanying it so I'm not quite sure what to blame this on.
Aside from the cases of elderly on higher doses very rarely experiencing heart failure, has anyone experienced or heard of cases where someone needed to get off of bica for that reason?

2021.10.26 10:07 Yagammyy Becoming a doctor
Becoming a doctor
In what age do ppl in the uk and the usa finish residency? How long does it take to become an official surgeon? I'm from the Middle East and it takes almost 9 years to finish med school and one intern year so basically it takes around 10 to 12 years to become a doctor, for me I'll finish med school when I'm around 30 and I'm planning to take the USMLE and start working in America but I'm really concerned how long would residency take me to complete?

2021.10.26 10:07 TheCommenter1918 Low-cost way to show support?
Next week is the 1-year anniversary of the death of my friend’s aunt from Covid-19. She took the loss very hard.
I knew the aunt and it is truly a loss. She was super sweet.
What are some creative, low-cost but meaningful suggestions for helping to brighten my friend’s day while honoring the memory of her aunt?
