So basically I like this girl and she liked me at one point but idk abt anymore still and today my friends (girl) and one of her friends (boy) went to the mall without me today. I dont mind im not petty or jealous. but it wasnt till i heard that the girl i liked didnt want me to come so it wasnt “awkward.” Which i was confused by. Is there a deeper meaning to this? Why didnt she want to invite me?

2022.01.28 00:08 itachi5040111 I got blackmailed by my elder brother.

I'm 19, Male, when i was about 8 i was sexually molested by a female cousin, i told one of my elder brothers, he gave some horrible advice,i was scared but i somewhat moved on from it, fast forward to about 1 year ago, he and i had a bit of a spat, he threatened to tell my parents about my relations with my cousin and he verbally abused me , so i told them myself and they somehow found a way to blame the 8 yo me for getting l rapped, should have known he was their favorite. Now i don't speak to him anymore, i'm pretty sure my dad has lost some love for me, now i'm just left with my love for my mom and an oedipus complex. Moral of the story: People are fukd up and will always backstab u.

2022.01.28 00:08 Lextube Chez Pierre 12 Scent Review

Firstly I'd like to start with a note about customer service. Chez Pierre's customer service has been fantastic and completely faultless. Always friendly and answers any question I have. Shipping from Serbia to the UK hasn't been too bad. 8 days from shipped to door.
I made two orders of 5x20ml plastic bottles in 1:4 ratio. Each order also came with an additional 2ml dip tester bottle that I decanted into spray bottles to also test out.
All spray bottles have been sprayed a few times initially and then allowed to sit in a darkened area of my room that for full disclosure usually hangs around 22-24c, although these are on the other side of the room where it is generally a bit cooler. Sadly I have no space to put all of these in a fridge. They were sprayed once every few days (I got impatient and needed to smell them often!). These reviews are all at least after 3-4 weeks of letting them macerate.
When I can I'll mention how close they are to the original but I can't do for them all as sadly don't have experience with them all. Some of them that I do have experience with is mostly from scent testing in department stores. I'm also no fragrance expert so these aren't professional reviews.
Chez Pierre Scent Name: Aventure Replicates: Creed Aventus Review: To me this one feels like it's not blended as well. You just get two very distinct notes of the birch and the pineapple that feel separate from each other. This could be seen as a positive if you really want more of the fruit note as on clothes I've noticed the pineapple hangs around for a lot longer, but on skin it disappears quickly and I'm quickly left with a linear birch dry down scent. The dry down on this is about the same as the original, just the original though. Projects like crazy and lasts ages. Accuracy to original: 7/10 - Not blended as well. Missing the mid that the original gives. Fruity notes are heavier, but their existence is fleeting. Personal rating: 6/10 - If you like that birchy dry down of the original then pick this up. I'm not the biggest Aventus fan so that swings the score a bit, but to me it's not as good as Perfume Parlour's Avalanche Fruity 0022 that I also have that I'd prefer to wear over this one. That said, still very wearable.
Chez Pierre Scent Name: Old Tree Replicates: Tom Ford Oud Wood Review: If you smelled the original and wanted to know what it would smell like without any of the warmth that the original has and just a heavy focus on the woods in the background, then get this. To me it smells quite sickening. It smells like cold dirty wood and soap. It's very close to the dry down on the original, but there's just something about it that makes it so much less stomachable than the original. Accuracy to original: 5/10 - You can smell what this is trying to be, but it's just not all there. Personal rating: 2/10 - If you REALLY love the original Oud Wood dry down then maybe give it a try. It's not the same but maybe the similar notes will do something for you. Again like my rating of the Aventus clone, I also don't like the original all that much so that may have influenced my score on this. That said I could stomach having the original on me, but not this one. Horrid.
Chez Pierre Scent Name: Coffee Dream Replicates: Montale Intense Cafe Review: It smells like candied rose petals. Very creamy and has a little bit of something in the back that I think is meant to be coffee related, but it comes across a little rubbery to me. Almost oud-like. The rubberyness does project a lot, mixed with the rose. If I didn't know what this scent was about, I wouldn't say it was a coffee note at all. This is a unisex fragrance but more feminine leaning. The vanilla makes the rose less floral and more sweet, but it may be a bit much for some. This thing is a monster projector though. I gave it to my girlfriend and I can still smell it on her the next day even with just 1 spray. Accuracy to original: N/A - but reviews of original make me think this probably isn't far off. Personal rating: 8/10 - I don't think I'd actually wear this as there are other scents out there that do rose in a more masculine way that I'd prefer to wear, but it's definitely a pleasant smell, even considering the rubbery note. Gave it to my girlfriend to wear instead so it gets some use.
Chez Pierre Scent Name: Blank Replicates: Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Review: To me this smells incredibly close to the original. I'd say this one is perhaps a little bit more heavy on the florals compared to the original, which gives it a very bright feel. It's very linear, and doesn't feel like it changes much, but it definitely matches with the TF original dry down. The best way I can describe the smell for those who have never smelled it before, is it smells like expensive sun screen. Hoping to get some usage out of this in the summer as an alternative to using an aquatic/citrus type fragrance. It does lean slightly feminine from that strong floral note but it's very easily pulled off by a man. Accuracy to original: 9.5/10 - If you like the original then this is an easy buy. It's not a full 10/10 as I don't remember how the original is in the opening and the mid, but it's exactly the same as the dry down. Personal rating: 8/10 - If it was a bit less heavy on the floral notes it would be a 10 for me, but still very wearable and highly recommended.
Chez Pierre Scent Name: Leathery Path Replicates: Tom Ford Tuscan Leather Review: The main thing about this one for me is that the leather note just isn't the same. There's something about it that just smells a bit... dirty. It has animalic and rubbery tones to it that can come across almost quite fecal. It may just be that there is more focus on suede-type leather in this one. Other than the leather, I think the same sort of notes are there that are in the original, but just formulated in a completely different way that makes it feel different. I can't make my mind up about this one as I hated it at first, then I kind of liked it, and now I've been wearing Ombre Leather lately I now hate it because I can't help but compare it to how much nicer the Leather note is in the real Tom Fords. Accuracy to original: 5/10 - The leather note is just not the same, which means even if the composition is trying to be the same, to me they don't smell alike Personal rating: 4/10 - Maybe if you're a hardcore leather scent fan this could be an interesting one to try, but I wouldn't get it again. I'm quickly becoming unable to get over the fecal smell from it.
Chez Pierre Scent Name: Lion Replicates: Dolce & Gabbana K Review: My first reaction is this is just a not as well blended version of K, but this is what makes it better than the original as K to me isn't that great. This one offers you a lot more to experience. This was the scent I got in the bonus 2ml tester bottle. I transferred it to a spray bottle for testing. In the opening I get a very strong citrus and blood orange smell that gives it a crisp and bitter feel to it. The bitterness dissipates quite quickly for me though, which brings out the fruitiness of the citruses. There's a little greenness to it that gives it a crisp clean feel. It has bit of a spiciness in the mid too that starts to round off after about an hour on skin. The dry down has a pleasant woodiness to it, but it's very soft. Accuracy to original: 6/10 - It's not the same, but this is a good thing. It's nicer than the original. The note balance to me is just more pleasant. Personal rating: 8/10 - Could make for an alternative to the more widely used blue fragrances also on offer if you don't want to smell like everyone else.
Chez Pierre Scent Name: Feels Like Summer Replicates: Creed Virgin Island Water Review: This is 95% true to the original. The original Creed Virgin Island Water has a different opening to it, but the dry down is damn near the same as this replica. I'd say that this version just has a bit more lime to it compared to the original so I couldn't call it 100% accurate but it's damn near close enough. You'll probably only notice the difference close up and if you have a lot of experience with wearing the original. It also projects like crazy. If you like the original this is a solid buy. Accuracy to original: 9/10 - Slightly more lime than the original, and is just a linear spray that replicates the dry down of the original, but enough to make it a solid recommendation. I'd say the projection and longevity is better than the real thing in this case. Personal rating: 10/10 - Can't wait to use this in the summer.
Chez Pierre Scent Name: Tuxedo Replicates: Parfums De Marly Layton Review: I've never smelled the original, but I highly doubt this is anything close. It's not fresh in the slightest. It's incredibly sickly and dry. It's just very thick, cloying and nauseating. I can't stomach it enough to give it a full review, and this is coming from someone that loves heavily sweet winter scents. I feel like it's missing something in the opening / mid that would make reaching the dry-down state a more stomachable affair. Accuracy to original: N/A - Still yet to find somewhere to try this. Personal rating: 1/10 - I never want to put this on skin again.
Chez Pierre Scent Name: Money Money Replicates: Dior Bois D'Argent Review: This scent is incredibly slight. Very light and powdery with a touch of amber and vanilla. I sadly have no experience with the original to compare it though so I can't tell if that's just the intention of this fragrance. But I heard it's a really popular male fragrance in France and to me this smells like a straight up generic powdery woman's fragrance. Also very linear. I messaged Chez about this one as it had leaked out a bit and initially had no smell to it at all. He offered to send me a small bottle of pure perfume oil in my next order for me to put in to strengthen it up, but I am yet to make a third order as I'm trying to figure out based on the results with these scents so far what other scents of his might be a good purchase. Accuracy to original: N/A Personal rating: ???/10 - I don't hate it, but I'm waiting to try it out once it's been made stronger to fully know if it's for me.
Chez Pierre Scent Name: Extreme Life Replicates: Tom Ford Noir Extreme Review: Once again a dry down in a bottle. Anyone that knows the original smell will recognise it instantly. The main issue I have with this, is that you only get the dry down and nothing else, so my initial reaction to it when spraying it is it's far too heavy and cloying. It's an odd case of it being close enough to acknowledge it's a fair clone of the original, but just far enough away that any time I try and wear it I can't help but be rubbed the wrong way by it. I'm starting to feel with some of these that for certain scents if you take away the top and mid notes, or just try to make a linear replication of a scent that has a heavy focus on the main notes / dry down, it can be quite jarring. Accuracy to original: 7/10 - The basis is there, but to me feels like it's missing something from the top / mid that makes the original more stomachable before you reach the very sweet and gourmandy dry down. Personal rating: 6/10 - It's absolutely wearable, and I think would be a big hit with anyone that loves the dry down of the original. This one has got me questioning how much I am really into the sweeter wintery scents that I thought I was all about.
Chez Pierre Scent Name: Hero Replicates: Hermes Terre d'Hermes Review: This is 99% accurate to the original. The main difference between this and the original is it's a little more orange heavy in the opening, but for many that could be seen as a plus. The dry down is identical to the real thing. Nothing more to say about it really. Accuracy to original: 9.5/10 - I don't think you're going to get any closer than this. Personal rating: 10/10 - Personally I think the slightly heavier orange notes in the top makes it nicer than the original. Been wearing this around loads and plan to get a bigger bottle.
Chez Pierre Scent Name: In The Night Replicates: Montale Aoud Night Review: This was the scent I got in the bonus 2ml tester bottle. I transferred it to a spray bottle for testing. The only way I can describe this scent is a fizzy cola-like fruity smell wrapped in a candied rose. The rose is not overtly feminine. It has a dark base to it that makes it have more of a masculine feel but it's not really overpowering so it feels more unisex, especially considering the sparkly sweet nature at the top. It does have a dark top note that I noticed on skin (not so much on clothes) that I'd describe as being a bit oily and animalic, but it doesn't last more than 30 minutes. Otherwise it's a very well balanced and enjoyably unique fragrance. The silage is great and lasts ages. It works fantastic sprayed on clothes. Accuracy to original: N/A - Sadly never tried the original HOWEVER it has similarities to Jo Malone's Velvet Rose & Oud so if you like that, then this is a solid choice. Personal rating: 8/10 - I personally find it very alluring and am considering a bigger bottle of it. I keep getting drawn back to it.
So here is some conjecture time. To me I feel like any scent I've tried that is quite complex and has a lot of variation between the top and bottom notes just do not feel right. The Tom Ford Noir Extreme clone is a good example as despite how accurate it is to the dry down; just offering a linear dry down in a bottle can make the scent very jarring to spray on you. When you experience the original you experience the layers of notes until you reach the dry down. Especially if the mid of a fragrance is very long lasting and offers just a little something on top. I'm finding that actually sometimes just going straight to the dry down just doesn't work.
The stand out recommendations from this for me have to be Hero, In The Night, Blank, Feels Like Summer, Coffee Dream and Lion.
Personally I would never recommend getting Old Tree, Leathery Path or Tuxedo.
Money Money, Aventure and Extreme Life are wearable but not my favourites.

2022.01.28 00:08 MurderByEgoDeath Island of Stability

I've been reading about the island of stability, and though it seems researchers aren't entirely sure what the exact number of protons and neutrons it would take to create a stable superheavy element, I'm confident that they'll make it happen someday. Whether that's in 10 years or 100 years or whatever. My question though, is what would stable superheavy elements be useful for? Like imagine we discover a stable superheavy element with a million year half-life. What would be the practical applications of such an element?

2022.01.28 00:08 CmdrShepN72154 Why do I associate science fiction and space exploration with the optimism of the 90s?

When I think of pop culture with aliens and flying cars like "Mass Effect", "The Fifth Element" and "Star Trek" I think of the optimism of the 1990s. When I think of space exploration I think of the "Space Shuttle", "Hubble", and the first rover on Mars.
It seems like in the 90s society was much more optimistic and excited for technology and the future.

2022.01.28 00:08 Low_Piece_2828 I can’t stop thinking about someone I dated years ago.

We met in the Air Force. We first saw each other in Texas at a training school and later started dating in Hawaii at our duty station. I’m from Ohio and had never really experienced life beyond my little home town. I’m naturally shy and withdrawn and she was outgoing and always looking for a new experience.
It was amazing how she made my life so full and exposed me to things I would have otherwise never discovered. She introduced me to new music, people, and opened my eyes to making the most of my time on earth.
Sadly I could not keep up with her pace and we went our separate ways after our time in the service.
She has continued making the most of her life by traveling the world and I have ended up back up in Ohio.
I probably sound bitter but that isn’t the case. I just feel like she was a shepherding figure in my life and I would love to learn how to continue on in that positive way.
Also I think I just wanted to take a moment to recognize that I was fortunate enough to have met a very special person along the road of life which is pretty awesome in and of itself.
Anyone else have an experience where you met someone who was awe inspiring?
